My next How Its Made post is for this card, a valentines card I have made for my husband Ian (Don't tell him!!)

The card is made from A4 200gsm card stock, folded and trimmed to 5 1/2" square

The embossing folder came as a freebie with Papercraft Essentials Magazine along with some stamps

The Heart die is Vines Passion from Spellbinders, which I cut from a piece of white card stock before embossing with the hearts embossing folder.

I trimmed the embossed piece of card and rounded the corners and layered it over a trimmed and 'lip' cornered piece of red, patterned mirror card, placing this on the folded card stock.

The die cut heart I then placed using foam pads just to lift it a little.

The banner, small hearts and dove are all cut from the same mirror card using dies from Xcuts Love Icons set.

The insert is printed using Serifs CraftArtist2 and various elements from digikits and edge trimmed using Xcuts Border Punch Leafy Lace and a soppy verse just for Ian!

The back of the card is another printed element from a digikit and my logo

Thanks for looking,

How Its Made!

I will start to build up a section on my blog of 'How it was Made' for anyone who is interested in the details of how I made my cards!!

So will start with this one (the inspiration for this card came from the Internet!)

This card was made using 200gsm A4 white card stock folded and trimmed to 5 1/2 inch square

The front page background is made up with digital elements in Serifs Craft Artist2 from a digikit called Daydream and printed.  The back page of the card features my 'logo' and an element from the front design.

"Congratulations" is die cut using XCuts Celebration die set from black card stock

The 'Groom' is two die cuts one black paper stock and one white card stock using Spellbinders Vines of Passion die.  The black paper heart is cut and folded to form the collars.  The bow tie is formed from ribbon.

The 'Bride' is again two hearts using the same heart die one in a skin tone card stock and one white paper, the dress heart is embossed using Provo Crafts Divine Swirls and trimmed to reveal cleavage!

The Bride and Groom were then finished off with 3d pearls from Dovecraft colour Coral

The insert is white paper with scissor trimmed edges, the elements are from digikits built up in CraftArtist2

Something a little different!

I have been busy working on some new card designs and trying out something a little different from my usual styles
